Women's journey: art and the sound of the sea, a break for the soul (2)

The Spanish port city of Tarifa is located in the very south of Andalusia, directly on the “Strait of Gibraltar”. Its cozy old town with idyllic alleys, small shops and interesting bars invites you to stroll and linger. The white sandy beaches with turquoise clear water and dunes, which are still home to native vegetation, tempt you to stroll, swim and switch off. The swimming pool in the apartment complex also contributes to the relaxation effect.

Here is also the shortest distance to the African mainland: only 14 km separate Spain and Morocco ... the view across is fascinating. In the form of an optional day trip, Tangier can be explored and a touch of 1001 nights can be captured.

On a trip to lively Cádiz, the Andalusian way of life alternates with history. The Moorish old town of Vejer de la Frontera transports us to the time of Al Andalus, while a visit to the unique ruined city of "Baelo Claudia" confronts us with the long Roman era in "Hispania". The contemporary sculpture park NMAC with site-specific works by renowned international artists represents a special art enjoyment. The walks with mindfulness exercises in the wild nature park of the cork oak forests and on lonely stretches of beach loosen up the program and allow us to consciously absorb the treasures of this area.

ACCOMMODATION AND CATERING:

You stay in apartments on the beach (each for 2-3 women) in Tarifa. Everyone has their own room, together you share living room, kitchen and bathroom. Electric heating, double glazing, hairdryer, towels, TV and WiFi are available in all apartments. There is also a swimming pool that you can use at any time. You will have breakfast in a nearby restaurant, two dinners are also reserved for you in restaurants and are included in the tour price. For further catering, you have the opportunity to try out the typical local bars in Tarifa or the insider tips from your tour guide.

ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER:

We recommend the arrival and departure to / from Malaga airport (I am happy to help with a flight booking).

Arrival: Group transfer from Malaga airport to Tarifa around 5 p.m. Group transfer to Malaga airport around 8am for flights from 12pm.

DAILY PROGRAM:

1 DAY

Individual arrival, welcome drink and dinner together

2 DAY

Visit of the unique Roman ruined city "Baelo Claudia" on the emerald green sea, picnic in the bay of Bolonia, followed by a hike near Bolonia (approx. 2.5 hours walking time).

3rd day

Excursion to Cádiz, the oldest continuously inhabited city in Europe: city tour with a visit to the highest watchtower with "Camera Oscura", the lively squares, Parque Genoves and the city's botanical dinosaurs.

4th day

Hike in the wild nature park of the cork oak forests with all your senses, walking time of the hike approx. 2.5 hours, height difference approx. 40 meters, picnic, in the evening we enjoy a typical dinner together.

5th day

Day at leisure. Possibility to take a day trip to Morocco, Tangier (passport required), watch whales and dolphins by boat (spring to autumn), day trip to Gibraltar in England or just enjoy the beach.

6th day

Visit to the NMAC sculpture park and visit the Moorish old town of Vejer de la Frontera.

7th day

Walk in the Strait of Gibraltar with a view of Africa, picnic; Walking time of the hike approx. 4 hours, difference in altitude approx. 40 meters. Anyone who wants to can interrupt the hike beforehand.

DAY 8

Departure: shared airport transfer to Málaga or individual extension

TRAVEL PRICE:

960 € in a double room, 1050 € in a single room, 295 € for women on site without overnight stay, breakfast and airport transfer (only when booking through Landart Andalucia).
